The store received burglars at the beginning of October during « a million -dull », although that story soon took a strange turn. Via an auction, the curator now tries to reimburse the victims (a little).
The ball started rolling with a heavy burglary at the beginning of October at Lotte Louise Luxury, a second -hand boutique in the Lippenslaan where luxury goods were sold. Her case was declared bankrupt three weeks later and is currently under guardianship. In the meantime, dozens of people still feel duped: the research into the circumstances of the burglary is still ongoing, although many 'customers' have questioned the story of Stéphanie L.. They have lost their Hermès or Louis Vuitton, but the business manager has since disappeared with the Noorderzon.
At the end of November a number of people were allowed to pick up their luxury items under the supervision of the curator. But that was possible if they had a waterproof proof that those handbags, shoes or other very expensive goods were sure of them. The emotions then flared up high at the door of the store: the police even had to intervene for a while.
Now hundreds of lottery tickets are being sold through the Vavato auction site. Handbags or watches from Chanel, Delvaux Christian Dior, but also showcases or other things that belonged to the store: everyone can currently offer it. « The intention is to clear the liabilities of the case in this way, » the curator confirms to our editors. « This is how we try to reimburse the victims of the bankruptcy in the degree of the possible. » (Read more under the photo)
