Huge international recognition was given to the Hungarian winery

Thummerer Winery brought three medals, including two gold, from one of the world’s biggest prestige wine competitions, Challenge International Du Vin 2025. At the competition in France, 21 countries were evaluated by the international jury in blind tests.

• The competition has been held annually since 1976 and wines are evaluated on a blind test.

This year’s competition brought us outstanding performance: the Eger Syrah Superior Selection 2021 and Eger Blue Frankos Superior Selection 2021 gold medals, while the Tenki Merlot Grand Superior 2021,85.5 points won the silver medal.

The most outstanding result was the Syrah Superior Selection 2021 wine in Eger, with a 92.5 point result of special attention in the international wine world. The evaluation above 90 points itself is high quality, and the 92.5 points classifies the item into the top category of outstanding wines. Such an evaluation in competitions is only a few percent of the wines called, so this award is a real international recognition for winery and domestic winery.
