How to get stable and clean energy?
Energy supply is the foundation of every society. The importance of this fact has already felt a number of civilizations ahead, and because of global fighting, we are increasingly feeling it. In the 1970s, the fathers of Slovenian energy fathers set a clear vision of electricity supply – a third of energy from nuclear, a third from water power plants and a third of coal. At the fruits of their courage, we set up a competitive economy that secured a stable economic core and set Slovenia side by side with the most developed countries of the world. We are aware that it is probably our generation that will have to step into their shoes, gather courage and outline the direction of development of energy, which will lead our green homeland to a bright, clean future.
With concern, we notice that documents on national energy policy are constantly extended and becoming more complex, the written goals are becoming more and more ambitious, and the proposed solutions often rely on non -existent, unverified technologies that are not yet commercially available and do not contribute to more energy efficiency at the starting point. The question of how to replace fossil energy sources and restructure energy supply, in a way that equivalently replaces today’s supply and at the same time intensively reducing environmental impacts remains unresolved.
