How to apply for a child to school in Kiev: told in KSCA

Reception of applications for entry to the first class in Kiev will begin on April 1

In Kiev, parents of future first -graders will be able to apply for children to school online.

You can do this in the « Child Request to School » section on “Service portals” , told KSCA Deputy Chairman Valentin Mondrievsky.

To submit an application for entry to the first class is required:

• to authorize on the portal;
• enter information about the child;
• specify the address of the future first -grader;
• choose the desired educational institution;
• If you have the right to enrollment and indicate the special educational needs of the child.

If the future first-grader has special educational needs and should study in an inclusive class, a conclusion about a comprehensive psychological and pedagogical evaluation of development or extract from the minutes of the meeting of psychological and pedagogical consultation should be added to the application for enrollment.

The main condition for enrollment of a child in the first class is the residence of the child in the neighborhood where the educational institution is located, the KSCA emphasized.

The child's place of residence can be confirmed:

• the passport of a citizen of Ukraine of one parent;
• temporary certificates of the citizen of Ukraine;
• permanent residence permit;
• refugee certificate;
• certificate of a person in need of constant protection;
• certificate of the person to whom temporary protection is provided;
• certificate of protection for protection in Ukraine;
• certificate of registration of the place of residence of the child or one of her parents;
• a certificate of registration of an internally displaced person;
• a document certifying the ownership of a home;
• a court decision on the right to a housing, recognition of the right to use housing or ownership;
• notarized document on the right to use housing;
• certificate of service in the military unit;
• The act of examination of living conditions.

The answer to the application for the entry of the child to school should be e -mail one of the parents and their personal account on the portal.

The KSCA added that there are no additional conditions for priority enrollment.

« Charity has been introduced into funds that cooperate with schools in no way affect the entry. Any proposals to » pay for a place « are components of corruption »– they warned their parents in the city city hall.

This year the application for admission to the first class from one parent will accept April 1 to May 31. Later, within the time limits set by the school, the original documents of the child – medical certificate and birth certificate should be provided.

Valentin Modrievsky noted that this year, nearly 226.3 thousand students, including about 21 thousand first -graders, are enrolled in the educational establishments of Kyiv.

At the same time, in the 2023-2024 academic year, 23.9 thousand children were included in the first classes of educational institutions of the capital. About 21 thousand new students will be replenished next year.
