How Russia Trump holds out in the Ukraine negotiations-Diepresse.com
Russia’s vague commitments, only to submit demands shortly afterwards, put even US President Donald Trump on the test of patience in the Ukraine negotiations. « Press » journalist Jutta Sommerbauer explains in the podcast what remains of the United States’ pendulum diplomacy between Russia and Ukraine in Saudi Arabia.
On Thursday it was the allies of Ukraine who met in Paris. France and Great Britain have repeatedly emphasized that sending soldiers to Ukraine. However, the conditions for this are unclear. In Paris there is talk of « Forces de Réassurance », « reinsurance units », which are primarily supposed to « show presence ». Soldiers should not be sent to the front, nor should they monitor a possible ceasefire, according to the Élysée Palace. It is more about preparatory work in the event of the case. France also assured Ukraine military aid in the amount of another two billion euros at the beginning of the summit.
In the past few days and weeks we have often looked to Saudi Arabia, where the United States did a kind of pendulum diplomacy with Ukraine on the one hand and Russia on the other. There is little left of the plans of US President Trump of a comprehensive ceasefire. Not even the fire break on energy systems seems to be kept. Russia is given the opportunity to always deposit new demands in the United States.
Jutta Sommerbauer from the « Press » interest resort explains in this podcast, where we are currently in the negotiations. What did the non-attack agreement on energy plants become-if one exists at all? What role does the Black Sea play? Does Russia get a foot into the door again in the USA? And what happens to the front in Ukraine? The war continues there.
