How many students returned to full-time study in the 2024-2025 academic year?

During the 2024-2025 academic year, at least 100,000 Ukrainian students have moved from a remote to the eye education.
This was announced during a briefing by Deputy Minister of Education and Science Nadiya Kuzmichov, writes Ukrinform.
According to the Ministry of Education and Science, 3.7 million students in Ukraine, of which:

2.2 million – study on the field;

759.1 thousand – in mixed form,

391.3 thousand – remotely;
-
363.9 thousand – are abroad and remotely study in Ukrainian schools;

42.5 thousand – live in temporarily occupied territories and continue to study remotely in Ukrainian schools.
The number of children studying remotely and in the territory controlled in Ukraine, during the 2024-2025 academic year, decreased by 100-150 thousand.
According to Kuzmichova, a difference of 50 thousand can be explained by the fact that the remote form of education depends on the safety situation in each particular region.
« Therefore, at different stages, it could be 100 thousand, but the peak value we observed during this school year is reduced to 150 thousand », – said Deputy Minister.
She added that this was achieved through the construction of underground educational institutions. In 2024, 7.5 billion hryvnias were directed to this, which was built and repaired 15 schools.
In 2025 Additionally allocated UAH 6.2 billion for the construction of underground schools in 144 educational institutions. 75 work is already ongoing.
We will remind, on May 21 in Zaporozhye Opened Seven in the region underground school. It is designed for a thousand students.
