How Bosnia tried to arrest the President of the Republic of Serbian
The attempt of the Bosnian security forces to arrest the President of the Republic of the Serbian Milorad Dodik, who is accused of encroachment on the state system of Bosnia and Dukewin, ended in failure. The detentions were not allowed by the guardians of the Bosnian Serbs by the police and special forces of the Republic of Serbian, who threatened to use weapons. An attempt to arrest the President of the Republic of Serbian (RS) on Wednesday evening, April 23, was undertaken by employees of the key Bosnian power department – the Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA). At this time, Milorad Dodik met with the leadership of the municipality of East Sarajevo, which is part of the RS. SIPA inspectors received orders to detain the President of the Republic of Serbian, whom the Bosnian authorities accuse of encroachment on the state structure of the country, on the basis of a decision of the Bosnia court, which issued the warrant in March to his arrest.
However, when the Bosnian security forces arrived at the barrier at the entrance to the complex of administrative buildings of East Sarajevo, they were blocked by armed police and special forces from the special anti -terrorist unit (SAJ) of the Republic of Serbian, who provide physical protection of Milorad Dodik. According to regional media, they threatened to use weapons if SIPA employees try to penetrate the building where a meeting with the participation of the President of the RS was held.
The Bosnian security forces preferred not to take risks and returned to the base, so that, as was later announced, not to endanger the life of their employees.
Thus, the order to arrest Milorad Dodik was not fulfilled.
The President of the RS himself, commenting on the incident, did not hide the triumph. “Indeed, someone really thinks that the police, which is obliged to protect the institutions of the RS, bend in front of the occupation force called SIPA, the court of Bosnia, the prosecutor’s office and Schmidt (the high representative of the world community in Bosnia and the Duchess Christian Schmidt. « Kommersant »). Who thinks so, that idiot, ”said Milorad Dodik, after which he expressed a key thought:“ Today everyone saw where the real power is located. ”
This thesis of the President of the RS sounded as the verdict by the efforts of the central authorities of Bosnia to make the country more functional and spread its legislation to the entire territory, including the Republic of Serbian. The RS parliament has already adopted laws prohibiting the activities of the most important state structures of Bosnia on its territory: the court, the Prosecutor General’s Office, the Supreme Judicial and Prosecutor Council, as well as SIPA. The failure of the arrest of Milorad Dodik showed that these laws are already applied to the RS.
The next large step towards the Republic of Serbian actual independence should be the adoption of its new Constitution. From state education in Bosnia, the RS will turn into a “state of the Serbian people”, which will have the right to a branch and will be able to create its own army. Bosnia citizenship will also be canceled, instead of it will be introduced by RS citizenship. Thus, with the adoption of the new Constitution, the Republic of Serbskaya would become, in fact, an independent state with the right to withdraw from Bosnia.
In this situation, the inability of the Bosnian security forces to fulfill the court decision and the order of the prosecutor’s office to arrest the President of the RS is not very surprising – in Bosnia it is hardly realized now.
