House investigations at the Pope

The Novo mesto Police Directorate confirmed that criminals were conducting house investigations today in the municipality of Žužemberk. According to information, they investigated suspected criminal offense of abuse of office or official rights, and no one was detained.

According to Dolenjski List, house investigations in Žužemberk have been held since early morning, and criminals are expected to visit the mayor of the municipality in addition to the municipality Jože Pope.

According to unofficial information, the investigations were also carried out at the addresses of persons who are not from this municipality. The municipality of Žužemberk was not available for STA.

The Dolenjski list reported that the criminal process was correct, and the municipality and the mayor were cooperative and have no comments on the work of criminals. They cannot comment on the events of the investigation, but they emphasized that this is a pre -trial procedure, according to which the prosecution and the police will decide on the further steps.

Mayor Jože Papež added to Dolenjski list that he was convinced of his lawful and honest conduct and municipalities, which, in his opinion, will also appear in the next steps of the proceedings.
