House arrest instead of detention for former Economy Minister and Secretary of State for Tragedy in Kocani
The State Public Prosecutor’s Office said this afternoon that a proposal has been submitted to the Kocani Basic Court, which requires a replacement of the « detention » detention measure with « house arrest » on the tragedy of the Pulse Discotheque in Kocani.
The prosecution does not specify which former economy minister and former Secretary of State are working.
– According to the phase of the proceedings and evidence already secured, the Prosecutor’s Office submitted to the Basic Court in Kocani a proposal to replace the previously determined detention with a house arrest measure for two suspects – a former minister and former Secretary of State at the Ministry of Economy, while 18 were detained. The Prosecutor’s Office will decide the court – the statement said.
The prosecution informs that the examinations of the incident are being completed and that there is an intense work of many forensics.
– The interrogations of the suspects and other persons are realized without deviations and in accordance with the established dynamics. More expertise is intensively working and data from the analyzes of the provided electronic devices are intensified – the State Prosecutor’s Office said.
The fire at the Pulse disco in Kocani that occurred on the night of March 16 killed 63 people and injured about 200.
