Five months after the heavy fire, the five -star Le Sanglier des Ardennes and restaurant Wagyu in Durbuy will open again. « For me this is a huge moment of happiness, » says Wout Bru, star chef and responsible for the restaurants of Le Sanglier des Ardennes.

« I think this is the most absurd image I’ve ever seen, » said Mark Coucke in early December Gert’s table. He was talking about an image of his five -star hotel in Durbuy that was on fire. « You see those Christmas lights being overgrown by the flames. Fire is something very weird, » he said.

Nobody was injured in the fire, but the material damage was enormous. But five months later the damage was recovered.

The hotel was able to reopen shortly after the fire, albeit with a more limited capacity. The restaurant, on the other hand, had to keep the doors closed until now. « Today, both iconic locations receive guests again in a carefully renovated framework. Wagyu, loved by grilled meat of top quality and refined side dishes, also opens the doors at a brand new location in the heart of the old Durbuy, » says management.

Since February 14, all 94 rooms and 13 suites from Vijfstarshotel Le Sanglier des Ardennes have been reopened, and from today the restaurants, meeting rooms and the wellness center will also welcome visitors.
