It turned out that many townspeople do not even know that some of the sculpture park is open to visitors with dogs. However, the open four -legged is only a small part of the park.

Klaipeda saw dog lovers to the park from the side of M. Mažvydas Avenue. The man walked on the track towards the Center of National Cultures.

Near the children’s playground, the man saw a man whose dog did naturally in the park.

« It was still there.

However, after explaining the situation, Marius Poimanskis, Advisor to the Administrative Activities, Control and Prevention Division of Klaipeda Municipality, said that it was possible to walk with dogs at that place.

« It is not possible to guide the major part of the sculpture park. But not throughout the entire part of the Klaipeda Old Cemetery Complex. It is included in the Register of Cultural Heritage, » assured M. Poimanski.

In simple terms, in the part where the cemetery was, the dogs are not a place.

« I have been thinking for a lifetime that the cemetery was only in the part that bordered on Triapio Street. The Klaipėda Old Cemetery Complex borders Troke Street, with S. Daukanto Street, involves the burial area of Soviet soldiers, » explained M. Poimanskis.

There is no place for the puppy and the Soviet soldiers in the cemetery.

However, the townspeople, who enter the park from the side of M. Mažvydas Avenue, can actually reach the center of national cultures along the tracks, and then, by turning towards the kindergarten, can even go to Liepų Street with dogs.

« You can walk with dogs. But the children’s playground with the dog should not go. Dogs are not on the walls of flowers, sculptures, road signs and buildings.

Specialists of the Administrative Offenses Investigation Division control whether the townspeople are led by dogs where they should not.

« He constantly controls, but does not go with GPS transmitters. There are signs there, » Mr Poimanski assured.
