Hoppin is the name for the places where you can switch between, for example, the bus, the shared car and the sharing bike. Flex transport can also be ordered from De Lijn via the Hoppin app, but that app changes name, in the line Flex. Due to a technical restriction, the app cannot be integrated into the ordinary De Lijn app, the transport company reports.
From 1 July, the first adjustments will also be made to improve flex transport. After all, there are many complaints about the system. For example, the line must check for improper use. Fewer mobile travelers can use flex transport for the entire ride, also for the parts where an alternative is actually possible. From 1 July, the transport company must check whether the user has the correct certificate. De Lijn must also work out a system to suspend travelers who do not show up twice in a month.
Later a large -scale evaluation of the system in collaboration with the transport regions, you can hear from Flemish Mobility Minister Annick de Ridder.
