Hopes to improve the dialog with the country / day
The dialogue with state institutions does not develop as successfully as it should. This is concluded in the study Interest Index 2025, which was presented earlier this week.
Any study contributes to the discovery of the public’s sentiment, but it is not necessary to see the only truth. It is well known that entrepreneurs do not always have a consensus on what changes to the regulatory framework should be and what are the priority issues that should be addressed together with state institutions. It is even the case that entrepreneurs in one industry look so different that they are creating several associations – each group of like -minded people. There are also cases where the most powerful and experienced players in the particular industry have remained outside the professional association.
It should also be borne in mind that entrepreneurs in one industry can be partners in the fight for changes in regulatory framework, but at the same time are competitors in the fight for customers, place in the Latvian market, as well as export markets. In addition, competition as employees has recently exacerbated. As a result, it is not easy for entrepreneurs to be cohesive for dialogue makers in communication with state institutions.
On the other hand, the position of state institutions in discussions with entrepreneurs is influenced by existing bureaucratic procedures, which often make the reaction of these institutions extremely sluggish and decision -making – at least from the point of view of people accustomed to rapid decision -making and implementation.
Of course, it should also be borne in mind that many state institutions have no awareness of the problems faced by entrepreneurs in different sectors, as their professional experience is solely related to work in the public sector. However, it is to be hoped that the days when all entrepreneurs and all public administration staff were publicly blown away.
The fact that the index of interest index has deteriorated has « may have been affected by political indecision, but companies and public organizations in general are positive, and most believe that the representation of interests helps improve the quality of public administration, » explains Andris Saulītis, a leading researcher at the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology.
The research -related experts also emphasize the need for a unified register of interest representation in Latvia due to the lack of well -transparent systems to register and monitor the processes of representation of interests.
