Stockholm. Slovak hockey player did not work out the opening match at MS in hockey 2025when in the basic group and in Stockholme succumbed to the home Swedish smoothly 0: 5.

Vladimír Országh, head coach of Slovakia: “I think we had a good entry into the match, we skated well. We did not manage the end of the first period when we collected twice. In the second period we started to lose fights, we got an unnecessary goal at the end of the third.

The guys unlock it, fought, we regret that we did not score. The Swedes turned on when they needed. They had more of the game. We must be more strong in the defense zone. For several guys, including me, it was a debut at the World Cup, I believe it will be better in the next matches. ”

Róbert Lantoši, striker of Slovakia: « I think we started quite well, but after the first goal scored we withdrew and we were worried, which didn’t help us.

Matúš Sukel, Captain of Slovakia: « It was a challenging high pace match. We had a good start, we played quite solid in the second goal. After the first period it was 0: 3, we tried to not hang our heads and play active, but the Swedes were good to the puck and extended the game well. But there were enough good things to build. »
