The second triumph in preparation for the World Championship was pleased with coach Vladimír Országh, who was looking for positives after the match.

« The victory was not easy, the French were an unpleasant opponent, » said Országh.

« We just started the first period. Finally, I am glad we won, especially after the meetings we lost. It’s good for the psyche, » added the temporary coach.

Slovakia will have to do without NHL stars at the Hockey World Championship. Martin Pospíšil, Martin Fehérváry, Erik Černák, Juraj Slafkovský and Simon Nemec will not be presented at the championship.

According to information from the national team management, the team will not join even the addressed five representatives from the Czech extra league.

« Many things are still open. We’ll see how it will evolve. On Saturday, new guys who will be fresh and want to play. We are looking forward to them, » said Coach Országh.
