Historical, turn this European into celebration
As part of the promotional campaign for the European Championship U-17 « Albania 2025 », the Football Federation organized a festive event in Durres this afternoon, which collected children and residents of this city. The activity held in the square in front of the Palace of Culture focused on promoting this historic event for our country as well as the involvement of the Durres community in this great sporting event that will take place from May 19 to June 1 in Albania.
The event was attended by the President of the AFF, Armand Duka, Deputy Minister of Education and Sport, Endrit Hoxha, Ambassador of Claus Jasula, as well as members of the AFF EC and representatives of SHRF Durres. Duke spoke about this major event that will take place in our country, considering it a milestone for Albania.
The head of the AFF invited all citizens of Durres to support our national team in this championship as well as welcome the other 7 finalist teams. Duke expressed confidence that all Albanians will turn this event into a sports holiday. « Just a month later the 7 best teams in Europe will join our national team to develop this important European competition that happens for the first time in Albania’s history. We are proud to have the opportunity to expect such an event. I am very convinced that with your support, with the support of many factors in the country we will make a model champion.
Being from Durres, I am very happy to open the promotion of the European in my city today and I am convinced that Durres will know how to do the three cities hospitality of the teams, their support with the presence of all of you and more than you on the stadium to make it really a holiday. Now everything is ready, the four stadiums where the matches will be played are ready, 10 fields reconstructed with the contribution of the Albanian government and the AFF are ready. We all support this European and experience it in the best possible way. I invite you all to follow this European in the stadium, ”Duke said.
Durres is one of the host cities of the U-17 European Championship, while some of the final matches of this edition will be played at the Niko Dovana Stadium. Deputy Minister of Education and Sports, Endrit Hoxha, in his speech praised President Duke’s contribution to organizing the European U-17 Championship in our country and added that the city of Durres will bring about life, tourism and life. “Dear President of the AFF, Armand Duka, is an honor and pride and I believe that it is all your tireless contribution and work that comes to Albania a European championship for young people. Tournament Ambassador Klaus Jasula welcomed everyone in attendance and invited them to support our national team in this European competition. « It’s a difficult group, it’s strong teams.
