The summer season is approaching and with an increased volume of traffic. Due to numerous works and renovations, longer traffic jams are generated, especially on the Styrian highway on the Dramlje -Slovenian Konjice section and in the area of ​​Brezovica and Vrhnika.

On the Styrian highway today, at 5 o’clock, a 1+1+1 regime began operating due to the beginning of intensive renovation work. By the beginning of April, the works were held on the right edge of the directional carriageway towards Ljubljana, with the closure of the lane between the Slovenske Konjice connection and the Golo rib tunnel.

Traffic arrangement 1+1+1 is expected to last until the end of June. The regime means that two traffic lanes towards Ljubljana will open in the morning tips and one towards Maribor, while in the afternoon, traffic will be arranged in the opposite direction – two lanes towards Maribor, one towards Ljubljana.

During the workshops, the customized arrangement will be valid from 5am in the morning, and on weekends the traffic regime will be adapted to expected traffic loads, the Dars website explained.

Renovation of tunnels and viaducts that belong to between The most demanding work is expected to begin at the end of June. For the next 90 days, traffic is expected to be diverted to the second half of the highway. It will run two -way along one lane in each direction. According to Dars, the restored section is one of the medium -loaded parts of the motorway network. Nevertheless, there is more and more freight traffic and daily rides. Traffic peak congestion will occur, so Dars warns drivers to stay on the highway, as driving on regional roads will be even more burdensome. They also point out that trucks that do not have a local destination are already valid for local and national roads in the area.

The renovation work will take two seasons

At Dars, drivers call for tolerance, consistent consideration of traffic signs and maintain a safety distance. They should also avoid sudden changes in traffic lanes and properly classified before narrowing.
