Nine foreign citizens of Syria, Egypt and Sri Lanka, without the right to travel to the Schengen area, were detected by border guards in Nădlac, following the controls carried out in the area of ​​competence, according to a statement sent to AGERPRES, on Sunday, by the Romanian Border Police.

‘On 13.06.2025, the border guards within the Nădlac Border Police sector carried out random and non -systematic controls on the communication paths near the border. On this occasion, a road ensemble registered in Romania, led by a Romanian citizen, was stopped for control. Following the control carried out on the means of transport, nine foreign citizens, without travel documents, were found in semi -trailer, mentioned.

The nine persons were taken over and transported to the headquarters for the verification sector, the border police stating that they are citizens of Syria, Egypt and Sri Lanka.
