The most prestigious cycling race in Europe, Giro D’Italia, has arrived for the first time in Albania, making our country and especially Tirana, the epicenter of cycling in Europe. From 9th to 11 May 2025, our capital will be in international attention. In order to the well -being of the organization and the activities foreseen, the Commander of the Municipality of Tirana, Anuela Ristani, has also sought the cooperation of the citizens as a very important factor for successfully finalizing this historic event.

« This historical event that will put our city in the international media, we want to be joyful and tasty for all citizens of Tirana. In order for this to be such, we will seek the cooperation of everyone. We ask for your cooperation for those who are able to use their private means and who have other alternative opportunities of movement, to use them for all others who have no other options to move, except with their cars, we would like to consult the itinerary they have to choose in advance. In the usual schedules, our staff will be there with extended schedules, ”Ristani said.

In addition to cooperation, she also underlined the importance of informing and consulting with the Municipality of Tirana’s website, to make « Giro D’Italia » a beautiful experience and to be enjoyed by everyone.

The race starts at Skanderbeg Square in Tirana, May 9 at 1:00 pm, to follow the two other cities that are Durres and Vlora and will be the hosts of this spectacular challenge. It will be completed at Mother Teresa Square, where cyclists are expected to arrive around 6pm.
