Here you need to pay attention
As the holidays approach and the Danes pack the car to get away from everyday drum room, something quite predictable happens on the Danish roads: Traffic stops.
The Ascension Holiday is no exception, and this year it seems that many motorists must arm themselves with patience if the course goes towards the cottage or a family outing.
Road Directorate Has issued a message of increased pressure on the roads, where one day one day stands out. Wednesday, with many taking the chance to shoot the holidays in progress, is expected to be the busiest day of travel.
According to the messages, the pressure on the road network will be greatest between 2 pm and 7pm, where people flow out to the country’s cottage areas and other popular holiday destinations.
Also on the Ascension Day of Christ and Sunday, June 1, motorists must expect close traffic, especially in the middle of the day. This applies to both those who continue the holidays and those who return home after an extended weekend.
« There is a risk of close traffic in the middle of the day, » says the assessment of the Road Directorate, which calls on travelers to plan with care.
Feasts and holiday periods are every year among the times when highways and main roads are most burdened, and therefore it is important to keep an eye on traffic information and consider alternative routes.
Even small delays can quickly grow large as thousands of cars move in the same direction. For many, it’s all about getting ahead quickly, but in the long queues of holiday traffic, it is often the ones with the most patience that come the longest.
With the prospect of filled roads and flashing warning lights, the invitation is clear: Take off well in advance and have ice in the stomach, and preferably a podcast or two in the back.
