When the Danish world champions end the handball season at home, it is not just with any match.
A real handball party has been set up when Sweden crosses the Sound to meet Denmark in the Royal Arena on May 11.
A showdown between the two handball powers is always an intense affair, and recent meetings have been nerve -wracking until the last second. Although Denmark has won the last four showdown, the last two championship matches have been decided with just one goal.
Last chance in 2025
For Danish handball fans, there is another reason to tick the calendar. The match against Sweden will be the last opportunity to experience the national team at home in 2025.
And not only that – it's also the final match of the EHF Euro Cup, which means there is potentially a title at play.
National coach Nikolaj Jacobsen is looking forward to playing in front of a Danish audience in the Royal Arena:

Denmark has already had a strong start in the tournament with victories over both Norway and Sweden back in November. Before the big final against the Swedes, two showdown against France and a meeting with Norway away.
