Heavy Monday: CGDIS fights against fires and accidents

Around 11 a.m. a traffic accident occurred on the N31 National Road in the direction of Bettemburg, at the level of Dudelingen. Two cars collided with each other, whereupon the emergency services from Dudelingen and ambulance from Steinfort and another from Sassenheim-Differdingen were ordered to the scene of the accident. Two people were injured and medically looked after on site.

At 12:35 p.m. in Mertzig, in the Rue Général Patton, there was a roof truss fire. The fire brigades from Mertzig, Vichten and Nordstad were able to control the fire. The emergency services from Nordstad were also present. Nobody was injured.

Another fire was reported about an hour later, around 1:24 p.m. In Senningerberg, in the Breedewues area, a balcony had caught fire. The emergency services of the CIS Niederanven, supported by units from Mensdorf and Luxembourg city, were quickly on site. In this case too, the fire could be deleted without harming people.

A traffic accident occurred at 3:36 p.m. in Basharage on Avenue de Luxembourg. A truck and a regular bus collided there. Two people were injured and had to be supplied by the ambulance from Peningen and the unit of CIS Käerjeng.
