The whole health system from Thethi to Ksamil will be on alert throughout the summer season to guarantee timely service and closer to tourists. The Minister of Health and Social Protection, Albana Kociu, together with the Minister of Tourism and Environment, Mirela Kumbaro and the Mayor of Berat, Ervin Demo presented in Berat the Summer Health Center, including the new health center in Berat Castle.

Minister Kociu in her speech highlighted the measures taken by all health structures in the country for the well -being of the tourist season. « All structures also need to be prepared to host the emergencies and unexpected they bring each year, 700-800 thousand, up to 1 million visitors. The Ministry of Health said that with increasing the influx of tourists in the country and with the aim of providing the service as close as possible to the citizens and this year they will continue to function summer health centers in the country. ”A year ago, thanks to the expansion of the map and extending the time open, from 3 to 4 months, the number of holidaymakers who received assistance in summer centers increased from 55 to 80 thousand. About one -third of them were foreign holidaymakers. Based on this very successful experience, we will continue to provide service through summer centers from Thethi, to Ksamil, and elsewhere, at the most frequented tourist spots of the country ”, Kochiu said.

The Minister of Health underlined that from June 1 to September 30, 2025, we will have more summer centers than ever before, 36 in total with the necessary life -long equipment. She said she is already almost all medical staff who will serve professionally in these centers. « After a long recruitment process, 295 professors were successfully selected who would provide uninterrupted service in 36 health centers. We have ready » 300 Spartans « , including 93 doctors, 129 nurses, 49 ambulance drivers and 24 sanctars located on the front line, in the most frequented areas of the country, »said Minstra Kociu.
