The first phase of this year’s Stirnu Buka was unexpectedly different than planned for its members – on Saturday in Tukums County, both snow and blowing, and the « Health » tent turned out to be one of the rare places to shelter and warm up with tea. Surprisingly, participants in this race series are ready to participate in any weather, they were not frightened by the cold, the wind, the snow and the mud! Representatives of the Health Card are pleased to be alongside the strong and optimistic people to support health in strengthening their opportunities and knowledge.

Active recreation, movements, sports help to improve health, and the « Health » map in the tent at each stage of the Stirnu Buka is provided with different activities, which are not only « Moon Pharmacy », VCA and « Central Laboratory » employees, for example, as well as medical students.

At the stage in Tukums district, both before and after the race, everyone was able to measure blood pressure and pulse, receive cardiac health cards, participate in the « Health » map in the quiz and receive prizes.

The « Health » tent also has a recreational area where each participant and fan can take a little breath. On the other hand, with all the active participants of the Stirnu Buka, especially for children – it will be happy to meet and take a picture of the best friend of the Health Card together until the autumn.

« Moon Pharmacy » pharmacist Assistant Liva Strode is an active member of the Stirnu Buka and has prepared advice on how to prepare for this trail race, reminding you that you can also go hiking here, which will allow you to take part in the event without unnecessary stress.

  • Also runs along the forest trails, not just asphalt or so on.
  • Learn to adapt to roots, mud and unevenness.
  • Regular training is included in the mountain, because there is no shortage of it in the « roe deer ».

Shoes with good grip reduce the risk of injury.

  • Comfort and stability will be especially important on a wet or steep track.
  • Start the race calmly, do not hurry to keep the distance for the second half of the distance.
  • Arrive in time to warm up and stretch.

Take water with you or use free water points at the venue.

Water balance in the body affects well -being and endurance.

Don’t worry about the result – enjoy the process because every finish is already a victory!

The aim of the trail race series « Ergo Stirnu Buks 2025 » is to bring participants to the excellent scenic Latvian forests – in the area where one gets better, friendlier, more sincere and more open!
