Zsuzsanna has been working on health care for 38 years, and is currently an anesthesiological assistant at the clinical center of the University of Pécs (PTE), where pre -anesthetic tests are performed. Zsuzsanna’s vision is constantly deteriorating, with only 10 percent vision, only a small lane from the world around her. Zsuzsa’s dog arrived very quickly, only to wait three months after the request. They have been going to work since then, they are the only one guide dog In Hungary, which works in a hospital.

Anise is able to smile with his presence not only for the clinic staff but also on the face of patients. Although the small yellow dog will be three years old in the summer, many people look at it as a puppy, its appearance is so tiny and so clownish. The clinic has a specially comfortable bed until he has a job, and it is here. Of course, sooner or later, a small child or a parent will come up who always asks if they can meet the puppy. Most of those arriving at the order are dog -friendly, but of course there are those who do not want to get to know it closer. This must be respected, so Anise remains in place until his owner calls him out, who wants to be examined in another clinic.

– It’s enough for someone to look at him and make him feel better. Patients calm down from their presence, some who specifically ask me to let him in. I do not always fulfill this wish because he has to relax, but it happened that a patient was so excited before the examination that his blood pressure went up. Then we let go of anise, played it a little, stroked it, calmed down and went down his blood pressure. Anise was given a small neckline for a gift for him, ”said Zsuzsanna.

At the end of the shift, clinic staff also play a few minutes with the dog: this is how they relieve all -day tension and fatigue, but there are some who come in before work just to do a little dog.
