Liptovský Mikuláš. After less than a year, the second change is the head of the State Caves. Nominant SNS Jaroslav Magura as the director of the Administration of Slovak Caves, which is based in Liptovský Mikuláš, will be replaced by Marek Belák.

Like his predecessor, the new director has no demonstrable experience with cave.

He was appointed today by the CEO of the State Nature Conservation Roman Fajth.

« Marek Belák is entering this leading position in order to strengthen professional activities in the field of administration and protection of caves, as well as improve cooperation with the general public and partners in the field of tourism, » said the Communication Department of the Slovak Republic.

We asked the state conservationists about the qualification of the new director.

New director

« The new director is a graduate of the Faculty of Forestry of the Technical University in Zvolen and has a rich managerial experience it has gained in Slovak and foreign companies, » they responded from the press department.

Marek Belák is currently working as a city deputy in Martin. It is also known for promoting the regulation of bears, as part of the election campaign he made his proposal to shoot a thousand bears.

On the candidate ĽSNS in 2020 he applied for the post of parliamentary deputy. In the last two municipal elections He ran as an independent mayor of Martin.

The current director ended with Huliak

This is the second political exchange as the head of the State Caves. After the new leadership was released by the long -time cave of Ján Zuskin, it was replaced by Jaroslav Magura from Liptovska Sielnica, who has no experience with cave, worked as a mediator.

He ran for parliament for the CIS candidate for the National Coalition Party, in which he acts as Vice -Chairman of the Party.

He was appointed last September. He didn’t warm up for a year. From 1 May this year Magura is working on Huliak’s resort sports as the main controller.
