– If I had a choice between the orphanage and what I had in my family home, I would choose an orphanage. It would save me a lot of suffering-says Polsat in the program « Polsat » 36-year-old Mr. Damian from Zawiercie in Silesia. The man has been living in Wrocław for years. The hometown only causes pain in him and recalls unpleasant memories. He wanted to cut himself off from this city.
Mother practically did not raise him. Now the 36-year-old has to pay for it
Now, however, the sad past has caught up with him. It turned out that his mother, with whom he had not had contact for years, by the court’s decision she went to the Nursing Home. And someone has to pay extra for her stay there. Officials from the local MOPS decided that it was the duty of a woman’s son. Meanwhile, Mr. Damian with his mother had practically never connected.
– I learned to walk, read, write, pray with my grandmother and great -grandmother. Instead of « I love you », I heard bluts. I broke the lampshade, and I was a few years old at the time, it’s a litany of insults about me. I don’t even want to cite them, but these were words that no child should hear – says the man in « intervention ».

The woman went to DPS because she could not cope with her life. As her relatives tell her, she made a trash at home, she endured everything she found on the street. The cost of her stay in the facility is 6,000 zloty. MOPS ordered Mr. Damian to pay extra PLN 500, although the man has not been in contact with her for years. The 36-year-old appealed to the Local Government Appeal Board in Częstochowa, which ordered officials to consider the case again.
-SKO accepted his dismissal, noticed a lot of deficiencies in MOPS proceedings. The whole context should be examined, because if the child was raised by third parties, then it is incompatible with the sense of morality, justice is that later, in the old age, not knowing anything good in the emotional, life, financial aspect, you have to pay for this parent – says lawyer Eliza Kuna in Polsat.
The new MOPS director in Zawiercie assured that this time officials would look more closely.
