“He has no right to turn the country to the east”

Former President Traian Basescu sends the Romanians from the Diapora that they have no right to return the country to the east, no matter how much money they sent to the country. In his opinion, Nicușor Dan will win the elections on May 18 because the Romanians will be solidarity with their own aspirations.

From my own experience, I understand and respect the sacrifice of those who have taken the way abroad for a better life.
I respect the support given by the diaspora « Mother Country » through the amounts of money sent to the country.
But the diaspora must understand that those who stayed at home have accepted to be paid with low salaries, paid taxes to the state, paid the material and social cost of the transition, paid the cost of integration into NATO and the EU.
And they, the Romanians left at home, want to be paid and live just like the Romanians in the West.
But not in another country but here, in Romania!
No one has the right to return the country to the east, no matter how much money he sent to the country. Nice Dan, president!
