Harsh criticism of Jomshof’s X attack against V-member: « Rough racism »

Daniel Riazat, leftist Member of Parliament, has pronounced their support For his party colleague Lorena Delgado, which is prompted by the party board to leave his parliamentary seat after, among other things, an anti -Semitic post in social media.

At the beginning of the week, Daniel Riazat wrote in social media that he left his place on the Left Party party board.

It caused SD top Richard Jomshof to react. On X writes he:

« I read that Daniel Riazat has left the Left Party party board. Dare we hope that he will also leave Sweden and go back home? »

The post has received harsh criticism. S-member Annika Strandhäll writes on X that the post is « completely unacceptable » against a elected person.

« I would like the President to look at how this open racism goes together with what one has the right to expect from parliamentarians and the Riksdag’s code of conduct, » she writes.

Moderate Youth Association chairman Douglas Thor is one of those who react to Jomshof’s statements.

– I do not think that Riazat is suitable as a member of parliament with his and his party’s problems with racism against Jews. However, to wish that a opponent should leave the country shows a dangerous view of freedom of speech, he says, but adds that S-leader Magdalena Andersson must respond to how the collaboration with V should work:

– Does she intend to rest her government on the human view that the Left Party exhibits?

Hanna Gunnarsson, V’s Defense political spokesperson, calls Jomshof’s post « gross racism ».

Daniel Riazat writes in a comment on DN:

« Richard Jomshof continues to spread racism and shows what an undemocratic party he belongs to when he tells a elected parliamentary member to leave the country. I expect President Andreas Norlén and Ulf Kristersson to act against this horrible racism. »

The Left Party’s group leader Samuel Gonzalez Westling tells DN that the post is obvious racism.

– Only you have some kind of foreign background and people do not like one, you urge people to « go home ».

He sent an email to Speaker Andreas Norlén and the group leaders in Parliament as soon as he was noticed on the post.

– We cannot have members of parliament who appeal to each other in this way.

Do you expect any answer from the President?

– I expect all people to distance themselves from racism.

The President’s press secretary confirms that they have received an e -mail from the Left Party and that the President is considering the issue.

Samuel Gonzalez Westling thinks that SD and the government parties need to take action.

– Obviously, it seems that SD thinks it is okay with racism in its party. And if the government parties do not say, it is an example of the fact that they also accept it.

This is not the first time Richard Jomshof writes in social media that Daniel Riazat should leave the country. In February last year he wrote that Riazat should move from Sweden, and called the V-member « a shame for the Iranian diaspora ». Riazat responded by calling Jomshof « Nazi ».

DN has sought the Swedish Democrats and Richard Jomshof.
