Hans Zimmer adds date in Lisbon in next year’s tour

Hans Zimmer added a date to his passage in Lisbon in 2026. The musician and composer will give two concerts to Meo Arena, as part of the “The Next Level” tour. Initially a concert was planned for March 31, 2026. This Wednesday, Promoter Everything Is New announced a new date: April 1, 2026.

« The Next Level » happens in two very special nights in the Portuguese capital so that all fans can hear the great musical successes of cinema, « reads in a statement released Wednesday.

According to the prosecutor, « ‘The Next Level’ promises a completely new spectacle, with innovative electronic sound landscapes and a spectacular light production that promises to overcome Zimmer’s previous shows. »

Zimmer was in Lisbon, in the same room, in May 2023, with the Odessa Opera Orchestra, in a tour to play pieces from some of the best -known sound bands he composed.

The German was born in Frankfurt for 67 years and entered the world of movie sound bands by the hand of composer Stanley Myers. In 1988 he composed Barry Levinson’s Sound of Brothers, a work that came to win Oscar in the category of Best Picture and led the composer to receive his first appointment at the Hollywood Academy Awards.

Since then he has been named by the music of films such as The Leão King (1994), The Invisible Barrier (1998), Gladiator (2000), Inception (2010), Dunkirk (2017), among others.

He beat Oscar for the compositions for King Lion and Duna (2021).
