Handball to keep and advance its number 1 sport in Macedonia

For family reasons, some time ago I decided to withdraw from the race. Taking into account the thoroughness of my approach to any obligation, private or business, I decided that I must give a priority to one weight if I want success in full capacity. I thank everyone who expressed support, and I remain at my disposal of the future leadership of the Handball Federation of Macedonia, with all my knowledge and experience, to contribute to the Macedonian handball to retain its status and to raise it to an even higher level.

With the holding of today's Election Assembly as President and New Leadership of the Handball Federation of Macedonia, it officially ends an era of leading the most successful sports federation in the country by a large businessman and handball lover. Entering the National Federation, at another time, when the state, through the then Agency for Youth and Sport, gave minor support to our sport, I quote: « With great enthusiasm, as a huge sports lover, a thorough strategist and hopefully a good visionary, » he was tasked with, « he said. Revive smaller cities. « 

Going back to the years before Mukaetov, we must be realistic and point out a few situations. The conditions of national teams, as a segment for which the federation should take care of, have improved significantly, both in seniors and in the youth categories, which is especially important for our country. Including a qualification system, some of the male and female junior national selections, after a long period of abstinence, is something that this set will be remembered. Lobbying and organizing a number of championships in all categories, male and female, as an opportunity for our selections to be part of them, gaining experience, is also an important part of the work of the current set.

The constant presence of the senior national selection of the big spots is also the hallmark of the time this set this set at the head of Zivko Mukaetov.

I mentioned in my tracing speech, on the occasion of the forthcoming changes in the National Federation, that they would be insincere, incorrect and unrealistic, if we say that everything was ideal in the long rule of this set. It is practically impossible. Therefore, one should be realistic and emphasize that, at certain times, the remarks of the clubs and the public, perhaps justified, were aimed at constantly changing the competition system, without a clear purpose or a vision of what should be made as a benefit, then to record the border of the system for years, And as a result of the same, insufficient presence of digital networks, as a cruel reality and need, are segments that demanded more attention and dedication.

Macedonian handball must continue to develop to further confirm the status of the number 1 sport in the country. We need to work together, without ego and vanity, no matter who the « title » is in handball. We have been hearing for many years how we need unification, in many segments, and even in handball, but we do not see the same in everyday being. Macedonia has staff, there is a tradition, there are people who are constantly, during the whole period of independence, investing in handball, as in no other sport in our country.

Fueled by my love primarily towards the state of Macedonia, then to the sport that gave me a lot in my life, and on the basis of all my experience and knowledge that have accumulated, working on different projects, in different segments, from the base and handball schools, tournaments and camps, through coordinating young categories and organization of young people, On this wonderful sport, I began to think about how to put it into function of the common good. Accepting the fact that if we want to change some things, improve or improve them, we must be involved in the system, not just to detect abnormalities and offer solutions.

During my entire working life in handball, I have been able to notice more segments that can be better, which should be given special emphasis and support, but also segments that have so far functioned at a high level and should continue to function at the same level, and if there is room to upgrade.

Given the space I have and the attention of anyone who reads these lines, I will throw some of them, which in my opinion are important to « put on the table » and to debate and find the best solution together.

Competition system, including the topic of reducing the number of teams in the Super League, strict criteria for participating in the same, strong first league and introducing a second league for the development of young players. Young categories and younger pioneers in a competition system. Activation, but also serious reform of the loan segments and double registration, as crucial to promoting the transfer of a youth handball player to senior competition. Education of coaching staff as the main task of the National Federation. Promotion and support of handball in children at an early age and channel them in schools throughout Macedonia. The formation of a marketing sector within the federation itself, with the task of serving the permanent and seeking new partners of the most successful sport in the country, promoting handball. Support for the establishment of a Trade Union and Players, as future negotiators on the conditions in which athletes and coaches work, setting up a framework and improving conditions, as they would have an interest in investing in their upgrades. Proposal Reform of the Cup Competition, to raise interest and achieve the purpose of its existence. The State Academy in the function of developing and upgrading the most talented young players in the country…
