Israel suspended layoffs

This should guarantee the approval of Israel, it said in a statement by the radical Islamic terrorist group on Wednesday. The appointment for the exchange will be announced in due course. A proposal for the second phase of the ongoing ceasefire has not yet been received. Hamas is ready to implement the agreement until all phases.
USA: Again discussions about phase two of ceasefire
Representatives of Israel are now expected to talk about the second phase of the ceasefire agreement for the Gaza Strip, according to the US specialist Steve Witkoff. « We are making a lot of progress, » said Witkoff on Tuesday (local time) at an event of the American-Jewish committee in Washington. « Israel sends a team at that moment. »
The conversations would be « either in Doha or in Cairo, » said Witkoff. Egypt and Qatar are again involved in the negotiations as an intermediary. The agreement stipulates that the first phase of the agreement ends on Saturday. Negotiations on the further course of the ceasefire should actually begin at the beginning of February.
Witkoff explained that the focus of the new talks will be to « get phase two on the way and to leave further hostages – and we consider this to be a realistic option ». He himself will « maybe » take part in the negotiations on Sunday « if things go well ». He had previously announced that he was traveling to the region this week. (APA/Reuters)
