Hamas announces that the fate of the Israeli-American hostage Edan Alexander remains unknown-Liberation
The Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas announced that the fate of the Israeli-American hostage Edan Alexander was unknown on Saturday, four days after having loss of contact with the group that holds it in the Gaza Strip. Edan Alexander, 19 today, served in an elite unit near the Gaza Strip when he was removed during the attack on October 7, 2023.

In the images, he addresses the camera and criticizes the Israeli government for not having yet obtained his release. The extract, broadcast by the Ezzedine al-Qassam brigades, lasts a little more than three minutes and shows it seated in a cramped room. Addressing the camera and clearly speaking under stress, he said that he wanted to go home to celebrate the holidays.
