Halloween: All free events in Athens
The first weekend of March, which is the last for this year's Halloween, will be rich in carnival events. Celebrations on the streets and squares of Athens with parties, dance, singing and free entry for all.
At the same time the museums, archaeological sites and monuments of the country will have free admission. With 72 events at 50 different places, the city is filled with vitality.
Halloween in Athens
Carnival events of the Municipality of Athens culminate today and tomorrow, with actions and parties for children on squares and streets of the center and of course the large carnival parade (2/03) in Syntagma Square, Ermou, Aeolos and Kotzia Square.
Specifically, at 5 pm on Sunday afternoon, a great show with a parade of carnivalists, dance events, sticks and Chinese dragon, will be launched at the pace of percussion. Participates the Athenian Municipal Philharmonic Orchestra. The 95.2 Athens Deejay and 92.3 flash will broadcast live from Syntimatos Square and Kotzia Square respectively.
Also, at 19.00 in Kotzia Square, the Music Music The Explosive Decibel Band that will take us to a frantic party with favorite Greek and rock hits, from the 70s, 80s and 90s to date. The event will be presented by Christos Ferentinos.
Finally, on a clean Monday, from 11am, the Athenians will celebrate the koulouma with a traditional, popular feast with Yiota Griva and Saracostian dishes.
Carnival and Clean Monday at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center
Like every year, this year, SNFCC welcomes Lent with live music, dance and creative activities for children, through a rich program.
On Sunday, March 2nd, a street band with foaming percussion, a DJ and a Latin complex fill Stavros Niarchos Park with energy and rhythm.
On Clean Monday, March 3, SNFCC celebrates Koulouma with a large traditional feast with Greek dances and songs and invites young and old to throw their kite at Stavros Niarchos Park.
On Sunday, March 2nd, the entrance to archaeological sites, museums and monuments under the State will be free for everyone.
Entrance to the archaeological sites of the State is free on the first Sunday of each month from November 1st to 31st March of each year. On Sunday, March 2, 2025, admission to the archaeological sites, museums and monuments of the state will be free.
The Handmade Facility Exhibition « Back Yard Art » held by The Bees Hub at the Kypseli Municipal Market on the weekend of March 1-2, aspires to become a meeting point for art and handmade enthusiasts, highlighting unique pieces that express their personality and passion.
The exhibition will take place in the patio of 10: 00-21: 00, with free admission for everyone.
