Halep spoke about the withdrawal match. Where will it take place

Tennis player Simona Halep announced on Saturday that next year, on June 13, her withdrawal match will take place, in the BT Arena Multipurpose Hall in Cluj-Napoca.

« I thank you for all your support in my entire career, » said Simona Halep, at the end of the demonstrative football match in BT Arena in Cluj-Napoca between a world team, Ronaldinho’s friends, and a selected from former glories of Romania.

« So we announce that Simona Halep’s official withdrawal will happen here in Cluj-Napoca, BT Arena, on June 13, 2026, » said Patrick Ciorcilă, co-founder Sports Festival and the director of the Transilvania Open WTA 250 Tennis tournament.

Sports Festival takes place in Cluj-Napoca, on June 12-15, and the festival’s poster was the demonstrative match that the legendary Brazilian Ronaldinho supported with other celebrities such as Marco Materazzi or Wesley Sneijder, against a representative of Romania, such as Adrian Mutu, Mirel Rădoi or Cosmin Contra.

The match took place on Saturday night at BT Arena and ended with a score of 12-12.

Along with this gala moment, Sports Festival 2025 also brings open competitions to the public, initiation in over 25 sports, activities dedicated to families, book launches, inspirational discussions and many other surprises.
