« I am deeply worried about Sunday’s Russian rocket attacks, in Ukraine, which continues a similar attack on the devastating trend, » the UN Secretary General said on the platform X.
« Attacks on civilians are prohibited in accordance with international law and must be stopped immediately, » Gutrašs emphasized.
« I repeatedly call for a persistent cessation of fire and reaffirm the UN’s support for meaningful efforts to achieve fair, lasting and comprehensive peace in which Ukrainian sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity would be fully respected, » the UN Secretary General said.
The Russians killed 34 people, including two children, at the rocket’s impact center on Sunday. Another 117 people were injured. There are 11 children among the injured.
At around 10:15 pm, two ballistic missiles were hit by Iskander. They were equipped with cassette ammunition, which is meant to hurt as many people as possible.
Andriy Jermak, head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, said the Russian goal was to kill as many civilians as possible.
