Guide Michelin 2025 in Metz: All new stars near Luxembourg?

Metz (Moselle) has become the capital of French gastronomy over the past few days. The main fair of the Guide Michelin ended on Monday evening.

More than 1,300 chefs met in the capital of the Moselle department for a series of events: the gourmet village on the Place de la République, dinner with a legend game between chefs and former players of FC Metz and of course the great ceremony on Monday, March 31st. On this occasion, the best chefs were awarded new stars.

78 new stars were awarded as part of the ceremony. 57 restaurants were awarded for the first time. A small summary of the chefs who were allowed to keep their stars in Lorraine, not far from the Grand Duchy, and the new award winners.

The new stars in Lorraine

This year there is good news for Lorraine and Luxemburger who are happy to discover new restaurants: two new addresses were awarded a star by the Michelin Guide.

These include the Yozora restaurant in Metz, which was opened by chef Charles Coulombeau in 2024. Already in 2022 he received a star for his restaurant La Maison Dans Le Parc in Nancy.

Another address in Lorraine, which was honored with a star, is the hotel restaurant Burnel and its chef Maye Cissoko in Rouvres-en-Xaintois in the Vosges.

The Toya restaurant in Faulquemont in the Moselle department already had a star. It was awarded the green star on Monday.

« This is a great common performance that I dedicate to my teams, who worked hard to achieve this goal with seriousness, strict and durability. No loss of stars for the region

Ten days before the ceremony, it was known that Lorraine had not lost a star. « The losses will be announced ten days in advance so that there is only positive communication at the time of the ceremony, » said Alexandre Keff, Vice President of the Moselle Attractivité agency, who is responsible for organizing the event, in an earlier interview with « Virgule“. The nine Lorraine restaurants, which were chosen with a star in 2024, also enjoy 2025:

  • Les Ducs de Lorraine, Epinal (Vosges)

The balance sheet for the year 2025 is as follows: Lorraine now counts eleven star restaurants, seven of them in the Moselle department. At the national level, of the 78 new awards, in addition to the 57 first stars, nine restaurants received a second, two one third and ten a green star.
