After the appeal of the Municipality, 27 proposals were presented: from Piazza Bausan to Selinunte

Green spaces, benches and ping pong tables instead of car parking. But also asset walks in the suburbs, street art and reading groups. In summary: urban redevelopment and cultural activities. Are the two poles around which they gravitate The 27 proposals of citizens, associations and universities that participated in Milan activethe public notice launched in February by the Municipality to collect ideas to improve the urban space. Now the Administration will evaluate the proposals that have been received by choosing which to make reality.

Among the desired of the Milanese there is the transformation of urban spaces invaded by cars in green areas and social aggregation. A request that unites citizens from the north to the west of Milan, passing through the center. Those who live in Town Hall 9 requires the redevelopment of Piazza Bausan. The dream is to make it a place of social cohesionpositioning ping pong tables and benches and freeing the public space from vehicles that are stationed in the Rondò. An association operates in the Town Hall 7 as regards Piazzale Selinunte. Residents have long denounced the conditions in which the land handkerchief in the San Siro districtin which citizens find themselves dealing with abandoned waste on the street and dirt. Thus a third sector institution proposes to the Administration to redevelop the square, recovering spaces to be allocated to the community, in particular to young people.

From the west to the urban center, the desired do not change. Citizens ask for cultural activities, playful in Piazzetta Beria d’Argentinetransforming the area used today as an irregular parking in Centro Vitale for the community. Same request, always remaining in Town Hall 1, also for Piazza Sant’Erasmo, where, to redevelop the area, private individuals are ready to take the field with an economic investment. Ready to dialogue with the administration also another body, always private, which would like to intervene on the urban spaces dedicated to sports activities, located in the municipalities 1, 6 and 7, in view of the winter Olympics.

The second pole around which they gravitate The proposals is culture. A need that, from what emerges from the proposals received, unites almost all the corners of the city. Just to discover the most hidden sides of the metropolis some citizens in the Town Hall 4 propose assets in the suburbs, also involving the order of architects for a contribution from a popular point of view. An association proposes, however, to enhance the public space through Street Art performance, murals and activities to be carried out on the street.

In the Town Hall 2 a school proposes to the Administration to create « temporary playgrounds » to be dedicated to readA, that is, of the spaces where you can promote culture and bring the youngest closer to books. For the under 14, an association would like to organize a course of education for mobility and sustainability in municipalities 8 and 9. There is no lack of students’ voice: The boys of a Liceo del Municipio 6 asked Palazzo Marino for the revitalization of a land located halfway between their school and a private area. A « land of nobody » who would like to use above all for educational and playful activities. The proposals received from February until March 31 will now be examined by the Administration that will choose from those of greatest interest, also evaluating the degree of feasibility of the projects.
