GREEK GUIDES: We continue to scream, drink, and … we are stuck with the slightest
That we are not good guides is well known. But as long as our situation is getting worse behind the steering wheel. Research shows once again our crap on Greek roads. 18% of Greek drivers say they have come down from their vehicle to argue with another driver. That is, 1 in 5 involved in a fight on the asphalt!
The Vinci Autoroutes Foundation publishes the results of the 15th European Barometer for responsible driving. This enormous annual study, conducted by Ipsos in a sample of 12,403 people in 11 European countries, records the behavior and image of Europeans on the steering wheel.
In this way it makes it possible to monitor the evolution of dangerous behavior and good practices that will help targeted prevention messages.
Although Europeans’ complacency in their behavior and their rigor towards the behavior of others remain high, antisocial behaviors appear to have stabilized.
And although aggressive and antisocial behaviors appear to have been reduced this year, they are still too frequent:
- The 50% admits to find other drivers ( 57%).
- The 47% unnecessarily shakes to drivers who annoy them (, 56%).
- The 30% ‘Stuck’ deliberately in the vehicle of a driver who annoys it (, 46%).
- The 34% It overtakes from the right on the highway ( 34%).
- The 18% descends from his vehicle to argue with another driver (, 21%).
- The 5% of drivers (,, 9% of Greek drivers) has already led to drunken statethat is, while it has consumed alcohol above the permitted limit and feels the effects of alcohol on its physical and mental state.
Among them, 85% of drivers find it dangerous to drive under the influence of alcohol (85%).
- The 2% has already driven after use of cannabis ( 4%).
- The 8% has already driven after taking drugs that could affect their alertness (-3, 8%).
