Great Success: Brothers Kvesic and Ema Sgarndelli go to the World Games
Three Croatian national teams in Karate won the prestigious appearance World gameswhich will be held in the Chinese city of Chengdu in August.
They succeeded this thanks to a series of successful results in the last period – Ema Sgarndelli. The current European champion in the 50 kg category, Angelo Kvesic. The current European champion in the 84 kg category, and Ivan Kvesicformer world champion and bronze medal winner in the 84 kg category at the last EP in Zadar.
At the World Games, there are eight best karatists in each category. In this competition in karate sports, Croatia has won six medals so far. The heavyweight silver glow medal was won by Anđelo Kvesic at the last world games in the American city of Birmingham 2022.
Our young competitors were successful this weekend. At the World Youth Carate, the Guadalajari city of the Spanish city of Guadalajari have achieved six medals.
Sara Tomic won junior silver in the +66 kg category, Nikola Birač (-63 kg) was gold in cadet competition up to 63 kg, and the cadet bronze reached-Paula Panic (-61 kg), Iva Maric (+61 kg), Franko Janjic (-57 kg).
The next World Youth Carate League tournament will be held at the end of June in Poreč.
