On the Hartenhof near Friedberg, district Wulfertshausen (District of Aichach-Friedberg) there is a major fire on Saturday evening. The Schwaben-Nord police headquarters reported the serious fire at around 6.30 p.m. The fire brigades are in large operations. The column of smoke can be seen widely.
The flames spread to the entire roof structure of the barn of a pigsty with around 1200 animals, said a police spokesman. According to the Friedberg police inspection, the fire has led to death for a large part of the animals. People were not immediately injured in the fire.

Farmers from the surrounding area supplied fire water in Odelfässern.

The fire brigade had to master some difficulties. The approximately 50 by 30 meter building was so badly damaged by the fire that there was a risk of collapse. In addition, there was a large gas tank near the stable, which had to be constantly cooled for protection.
The police were with several stripes with the fire and stopped the street. The veterinary office was also on site. According to the police, the damage is up to three million euros.
