Grand Ducal Family opens Luga exhibition | Luxembourg word
Whether you know them or not: The Luga – short for Luxembourg Urban Garden – is currently on everyone’s lips. Next Saturday she will officially open her green city gates for visitors. The country’s political prominence was already able to get a first picture at today’s opening ceremony in the Vallée de la Petrusse, including Grand Duke Henri with Grand Duchess Maria Teresa as well as hereditary dazzo Guillaume and hereditary duchines Stéphanie.
The open-air exhibition will be a place for urban gardens, landscape and art installations as well as for agricultural projects until October 18 in Luxembourg-Stadt and Ettelbrück. Accordingly, the Luga was not only through General Director Ann Mullerbut also opened by Mayor Lydie Polfer and Bob Steichen, the mayor of the city of Ettelbrück. Martine Hansen, the currently responsible minister of agriculture, nutrition and viticulture, also had their say in a speech.
The visitors present, including our photographer Marc Wilwert, were already able to catch a first look at the Luga city gardens and the exhibition « Superhelde Insects », which was presented by the National Museum for Natural History. Of course, the physical well -being was also taken care of, whereby all the products to be tasted came from the Grand Duchy – including flavored water and – despite more dreary weather – ice cream from Marcello.
