There will be a lot to do with the Cancer Society this weekend. Today, almost ISK 100 million was allocated from the company’s Science Fund for continued cancer research in Iceland. Tomorrow will also be the company’s Annual General Meeting.

« This is a really big weekend, » says Halla Þorvaldsdóttir, Managing Director of the Cancer Society of Iceland, in a conversation with mbl.is.

« At lunchtime, 93 million from the Cancer Society’s Science Fund was allocated to Icelandic scientists conducting cancer research. This has allocated 656 million since the allocation began in 2015. This is a complete achievement. »
