Government decrees national mourning for Pope and Marcelo speaks to the country at 20h
The government will decree national mourning in memory of Pope Francis, a source of the prime minister’s office told Lusa, but it would be no good what the period would be.
Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa has not yet reacted publicly to the death of the high pontiff, but will speak to the Portuguese at 20h.
« The President of the Republic will talk to the country today about the death of Pope Francis at 20h00, » reads in a statement from the Presidency of the Republic.
