Gorice footballer magnified Sports Day for as many as 2000 children
More than 2000 children on Tudjmanac with a glowing fan atmosphere and a fair game on sports fields marked Sport Day. The kids competed in the border guard and athletics, and the sports day was an opportunity to socialize, participate in different games and exercise of motor skills. Organized by the Youth Sports Games and with the support of the City of Velika Gorica, the children won the hearts of all present at their sports spirit.
At the very beginning, a symbol of communion and fair play, the flames of the sports games of young people, arrived at Dr. Franjo Tudjman’s Park. Gorizia football player Jurica Prširaccompanied by the children of the competitors, ignited the flames and thus marked the start of the competition.
For children in Velika Gorica, Kresimir Ačkar, Mayor, Neven Karas, Deputy Mayor, Darko Bekić, City Council, Lana Krunić Lukinić, Head of the Administrative Department for Preschool Education and Social Affairs, and David Burburan, Director of Youth Competition Director.
– Over 2,000 children gathered in Velika Gorica who recognized our sports day as an opportunity to socialize, play and competition. Through young youth sports games, we will continue to strive for children and young people to participate in sports competitions as much as possible – said Burburan.
One of the most popular sports disciplines on the games, the Border Guard, has re -connected generations, sports of childhood, laughter and unfettered games. Children competed in two categories 2014 and younger and 2016 and younger. The border guy is a particularly popular discipline because through the participation of mixed teams of boys and girls, he encourages inclusion, team spirit and equality. In the same categories, children competed in 60 meters, supported by parents, teachers and citizens loudly winding along the athletic path.
– When we look at the number of gathered here, it is clear that youth sports games have become a wonderful tradition. Our Tudjman is filled with children who are sincerely looking forward to this day. As soon as one game is over, they are eagerly asking when there will be the next encounter. I thank all the teachers, teachers and teachers, as well as anyone who participates in the organization of this valuable project. The City of Velika Gorica will always give him strong support because the project enriches and educates children – not only about the importance of sports, but also together, which are values that will use them throughout their lives – said Kresimir Ačkar.
Tensions of the border guards showed that the teams in Gorizia had been practicing all year to show the skills on the field, and the teams of the Turks Kvaternik and Ice 1st won the national final of the Sport Day in Rijeka. Along with them will travel the fastest little athletes, Tonka Drazic Vasilic, Luka Habulinec, Elena Novosel and Emanuel Žagar – who earned their place among the best at heart and speed.
The fields echoed with song and laughter, and the fans banners stood out for creativity and tolerance messages. The Panda team won a trip to Rijeka to the national finish – a special fair play game award.
Competitions in the border guard and athletics for the fifth year are held as part of the Sport Day, and the game partner believes that investing in sports is an investment in the future. « Sport builds character, teaches children persistence, teamwork and respect. Encouraging a sporting lifestyle, inclusion, tolerance and socializing in children and young people for 29 years has been the mission of the largest sports amateur event in Europe, sports games of young people.
