Calea Victoriei becomes pedestrian on Saturday and Sunday, in the context of the ‘open streets’ event, which proposes to the visitors magic and animation shows, origami workshops, collection cars and a concert Irina Sârbu.

On Saturday, from 2:00 pm, the public is invited to the exhibition ‘Made in Romania’, organized by the Retromobil Club Romania Association, a ‘spectacular’ selection of civil vehicles produced between 1957 and 1990, according to a statement transmitted on Friday by ARCUB.

Also on Saturday, between 5:00 pm and 21:00, the pedestrian route illuminates between the National Museum of Art of Romania and the National Military Circle, where the National Organization of Romania’s Scouts will prepare the Light Festival.

‘The bouquets of the boulevard will be illuminated by hundreds of pedestrian lamps, in a symbolic route of discovery and creativity. The public of all ages is invited to participate in educational and creative outdoor workshops, in a friendly and participatory atmosphere ‘, the source mentioned.

On Sunday, from 6:00 pm, on the sidewalk at the National Art Museum will be held the magic show ‘Magitot I am’, of the theater of Romanian playwrights.

In parallel, in the area of ​​the Kretzulescu Church, the public is expected at the show ‘Freestyle Puppetry’, production of the Tăndărică Animation Theater. Between 17:00 and 19:00, children are invited to two creative workshops: a spring workshop coordinated by artist Camelia Andriță and an origami workshop supported by Stefan Hotnog.

The weekend ends with Irina Sârbu’s concert on Sunday, from 6:00 pm, on the esplanade of the National Military Circle.

The program of the event is complemented by the permanent thematic exhibitions hosted in the garden and interior of the Filipescu-Cesianu House, offered by the Museum of Bucharest: from visual fragments from recent history to ‘life journal. Calea Victoriei becomes pedestrian on Saturday, between 10:00 and 22:00, on the road segment between Dacia Boulevard until the intersection with Splaiul Independence, without affecting the intersections. It will be allowed to cross Calea Victoriei, on Ştirbei Voda street, Strada Ca Rosetti, Dem I. Dobrescu street, Ion Câmpineanu street, Regina Elisabeta Boulevard.

The traffic of the Bucharest Transport Company will be diverted, without affecting the travelers.

On Sunday, May 11, Calea Victoriei becomes pedestrian, on the same segment, between 14: 00-22: 00.

The road traffic on Calea Victoriei is resumed during the night until the morning (on Saturday to Sunday), starting from 11:00 pm until 09:00. For the safety of the participants in the event, on the arteries on whom cars no longer travel, the bicycle tracks are closed.
