Gold protest in the capital. Gendarmerie, increased security measures

The alliance for the union of Romanians organizes on Saturday, in the University Square, a rally against the government led by Marcel Ciolacu.

The protesters will gather around 10:00 at the University, in front of the National Theater, after which they will go to the Victoriei Square, where a scene will be arranged.

The Gendarmerie of the Capital shows that, together with the other authorities, increased security measures will be taken, to prevent any incidents in the plan of public order and safety, given the incidents caused by some of the participants in the last demonstrations, consisting of the forcing and challenging the gendarmes.

« We emphasize the importance of a dialogue and a good collaboration and we insist that their organizers and representatives, respectively the participants in this public assembly, to collaborate permanently with the law enforcement presents on the routes of finding/deflaction, respectively with those from the places of public meetings, the proposed collaboration being a basic condition for the event. Taking into account the attitude of the participants towards the media representatives from the latest public demonstrations, the Gendarmerie of the Capital will delimit a safety zone that journalists will be able to use, both in the University Square and in Victoriei Square, ”a statement of the Gendarmerie states.

At the places of activities, the Gendarmerie of the Capital will have teams of dialogue with registered, blue vests, which have the role of ensuring the permanent dialogue with the organizers and participants in these public meetings.

« In the case of the emergence of people with aggressive behavior, we recommend the other participants to delimit their actions and indicate them to the present law enforcement, » says the gendarmerie.

At the same time, the quoted source mentions that, in the context of incidents from the latest public demonstrations, the Gendarmerie of the Capital has identified a number of 47 persons, of which 19 are the subject of criminal notifications, in terms of committing the deeds of outrage, holding of prohibited substances, public instigation, disorder of order, or other public, Destruction and possession of pyrotechnic materials-two persons being in a state of preventive arrest and a person under judicial control, and 34 persons were sanctioned contraventionally, with fines in a total value of 75,000 lei, for the non-observance by the organizer of the travel routes or the place and the perimeter intended for public meeting, or Manifestations, with the intention of denying or disturbing public meetings, preventing the law enforcement forces to fulfill their service obligations regarding the legitimacy or management of a person at the police headquarters.

The gendarmerie of the capital recommends to the people who will participate in these demonstrations, but also to the other citizens to show understanding of the measures taken, to adopt a civilized behavior, to respect the gendarmes, to avoid the conflicts of any kind and to announce the closest patrol of gendarmes, if they notice people who have an antisocial behavior.

Also, for public safety reasons, it is recommended not to come with luggage or bulky bags.

« We remind the fact that, in accordance with the legal provisions in force, it is forbidden and a crime is the participation in the public meetings of the persons who have on them weapons, explosive or incendiary materials, irritant-lacrimogenic or paralyzing substances, devices for electric shocks or other objects that can be used for violent actions or of their normal disorder. »

On the routes that converge to the place of the public meeting will be set up prefilment devices, and the gendarmes will legitimize and control only the people who have bulky luggage. « We remind the fact that, in similar protests, people who had knives, bricges, pyrotechnic materials and substances forbidden by law for such activities were identified, » the source said.

As a preventive measure, for the discouragement and proof of possible antisocial facts that can endanger the peaceful character of the public meetings, the gendarmes will take photos and operational filming throughout the events, with the fixed/mobile technical means from the unit, and will monitor the images recorded through the urban system, according to the legal system.
