Gniezno. Death of a retired teacher. A taxi driver killed her

The murder took place in the block at ul. Sikorski in Gniezno on Monday, June 2. After Leszek B. alerted the police himself, the officers went to the apartment he occupied with his wife (previously investigators incorrectly reported that the woman was his concubine). There they found the body of a 64-year-old. It was immediately known that the woman was murdered. She had stab wounds on both sides of the body. – The man appeared at the police station with his son, but before he could say everything, he fainted. The officers guessed that it was a problem in the apartment and went to the place. There they found a dead woman with numerous stinging wounds. The testimonies of witnesses show that there was a conflict between the spouses-emphasizes prosecutor Małgorzata Wzulak-Kustosz from the prosecutor’s office in Gniezno, quoted by Radio Poznań.

Leszek B. was detained. According to Moje-Gniezno.pl, the study showed that he had 2.5 per mil of alcohol in his body. After stopping, his mental state deteriorated violently, and therefore he was observed to the psychiatric hospital in Gniezno. The website informs that for now investigators cannot question it because they are waiting for the opinion of expert psychiatrists, whether he will be able to participate in investigative activities. It is known, however, that the prosecutor’s office will apply for his temporary arrest and will present the man’s allegation of murder.
