Pay attention to travel insurance through credit card

« An insurance through a credit card often only covers travel up to a certain number of days, and on some credit cards you must have paid the journey with the card to activate insurance coverage. In addition, the insurance on some cards may be less extensive than a separate travel insurance with, for example, coverage for special activities.

In addition, rules and terms can vary greatly from bank to bank, which can make it difficult to see what you are actually covered for, explains Louise Hertzum Andersen.

« When you have travel insurance through your credit card, it is not the bank itself that is handling, but external insurance companies, and it can create extra contact in the event of an injury during the trip. Therefore, check up the conditions of your travel insurance and make it clear who you should contact if the accident is out. »
