Giro D’Italia in Albania, the agenda of 3 stages of sports competition is published
« Giro D’Italia » will be held in our country from May 9 to May 11 in Durres, Tirana and Vlora. The first 3 stages of the sports competition will be held in Albania. The presentation of the teams participating in the event will take place on May 7, 8:30 pm in Skanderbeg Square.
The first stage will be held on May 9 on the Durres-Tirana road. The race will start from the port of Durres, to continue to Mount Robit, Kavaja, Rrogozhina, Peqin, Pap, Bradashesh, Grace, Mullet, TEG, Sauk, Surrel and Tirana. In the capital, cyclists will be led by Surrel on « Janfize Keko » Street, to the Boulevard « Martyrs of the Nation », then again on the street of « Rexhekri », to Surrel, on « Janfize Keko » and on the « Martyrs of the Nation » Boulevard. The end of the first stage will be around 5pm at Mother Teresa Square.
The second stage will be held on May 10 inside the capital. The race will begin at around 1pm from « Skanderbeg » Square, followed by « Gjergj Fishta », then through the « Bajram Curri » Boulevard to Mother Teresa Square, on « Elbasan » to Sauk, return to « Bajram Curri » Boulevard to Brryl Boulevard, Mother Teresa Square.
The completion of the second stage is projected to end at around 17.15 pm at Mother Teresa Square.
The last stage will be held on May 11 in Vlora, which will begin at around 1pm from the street « Democracy ». Cyclists will then continue to Kota, in Brataj, to Qeparo, then from Porto Palermo to Himara, and then return from the Neck of Llogara, to Orikum, and through the « Murat Terbaci » street will return to Vlora.
The conclusion of the third stage is projected to be around 17:26 on « Sadik Zotaj » street.
Earlier, Prime Minister Edi Rama, through a post on social media, has announced that there will be 180 professional and champion cyclists from around the world. This race will be broadcast by 200 international television, which according to Rama will serve to promote the beauties and values of our country, which will follow in attracting tourism in Albania.
This is the 108th edition of Giro D’Italia, where 23 teams will participate.
